1. Overview

MalikActions ("we", "us") provides the MalikActions Smart QR Generator, including GPT Action integration for ChatGPT. This policy explains what data we collect, why, how long we retain it, and your rights.

2. Data We Collect

QR payloads: the data, title, and type (url, text, vcard, wifi) you submit to generate a QR code.
Technical metadata: generated slug, creation timestamp, request IP, user-agent, and error logs for abuse prevention.
No account data required: anonymous generation is supported; we do not require ChatGPT user identity.

3. How We Use Data

To generate, store, and render QR images via /v1/qr/render/{slug}.
To operate, secure, and debug the API (rate limiting, fraud prevention).
We do not sell personal data and do not use QR payloads for advertising.

4. Data Retention

QR payloads and generated SVG assets are retained for 12 months from creation to allow preview/management links to work, then automatically deleted. Server access logs are retained for 90 days. You may request early deletion at any time via privacy@malikactions.com with the QR slug.

5. Sharing & Processors

We share data only with infrastructure processors (hosting, CDN) under contract, and when required by law. GPT Action calls originate from OpenAI infrastructure; OpenAI's own privacy terms apply to data the user shares with ChatGPT.

6. Security

TLS in transit, least-privilege storage access, input validation, and rate limiting. No system is 100% secure; do not encode passwords, private keys, or highly sensitive personal data in QR codes.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (GDPR/UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA), you may request access, correction, deletion, portability, or restriction. Contact privacy@malikactions.com. We respond within 30 days.

8. Children

MalikActions is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
